AME Spring Training 2026
An Aviation Medicine Refresher Training Course
Aeromedical Center Salzburg, the Austrian Society of Aviation Medicine, the European School of Aviation Medicine and the Germen Academy of Aviation and Travel Medicine are pleased to announce the first Spring Training in Aviation Medicine, a Refresher Training Program based on EASA regulatory structure and accredited by Austro Control.
This is the first international refresher training to be offered jointly by Austrian and German Aviation Medicine Societies. We look forward to two days of lively academic discourse, opportunities to network with colleagues and authorities and a unique opportunity to visit the aviation legends on display at the Flying Bulls’ Hangar 7.
We are extremely grateful to our presenters, subject matter experts, regulatory authorities, avimed wingmen and sponsors for contributing their expertise, their time and their passion to these meetings. We also thank our participants for contributing their expertise and perspectives to the scientific discourse. The discussions and insights gained are at the heart of the take home messages for all of us.
We are committed presenting current topics in clinical aviation medicine, military and space medicine, aviation psychology, operational aviation considerations, and sports aviation medicine. Course content is geared for relevance to the practice of aviation medicine and the promotion of global aviation safety.
The collaborative approach of this training program projects our belief in the spirit of aviation medicine wingmanship. Together we benefit by sharing our individual experiences and by building resilient avi med networks and partnerships.
While the pandemic of 2020 impacted aviation significantly, the experience also gave us access to new tools and opportunities to interact and work across great distances. We have incorporated online tools to bring presenters from distant locations to our meetings and can also provide state of the art learning tools to our course participants online.
A special welcome to all colleagues who will be joining us online, we hope that you will join us live in the future!
This course has been submitted to Austro Control for accreditation as a refresher training that shall be recognized by the competent authorities across the EASA region. Participants not working within the EASA region are also welcome to attend.
We wish you and your families a happy holiday season and look forward to welcoming you in Salzburg at this very special Spring Training!
Sincerely,
Philipp Bittermann, Stefan Pump, Dirk Rose and Tom Drekonja
